Howdy! I am Kenny Closs Jr.

 

I am married to my loving and supporting wife Sara and we have 3 children.  Together we have laid down roots both figuratively and literally here in the Bryan/College Station community.

I am a Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Aggie, and a most of the time vegetarian (it’s hard to say no to breakfast tacos).  I was born and raised in Laredo, Texas.  Upon graduating high school, I joined the US Navy where I served 11 years.  During my time in the Navy I was stationed aboard a ship in Mayport, Florida, served as a recruiter in Kerrville, TX, and a civil affairs team member in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  After my enlistment, my family and I moved to College Station.  I attended Blinn College before transferring to Texas A&M and earned my degree in Agricultural Economics in December 2015.

The path to where I am today has been paved with the generosity, help, and continued support of my family, friends, and Co-Owners.  We started Earth Galley Farms as a way to reach our community through fresh fruits and vegetables along with providing education and knowledge of where our food comes from.  This continues to be my everyday goal moving forward.
